2016-17 season at a Glance 10-10 overall record, reached 2nd round of PSAL playoffs

Players to Watch: John Egbuta, Elijah Wynn

The Wadleigh tigers started off the 2017-18 season with some big preseason wins over MSIT and Paul Robeson. In both of those games they were led by junior guard Elijah Wynn a 5-10 guard who continues to prove that he’s one of the top guards in NYC. The Harlem Native has a clutch gene and it has shown in many games that I have seen him play in. Wynn’s ability to hit clutch shots is big because he’s a go to option for the team when a game winning shot is needed. Another player to look out for is John Egbuta a 6-4 wing who is very athletic and has shown an ability to shoot from outside.

2017-18 Outlook

Right now Wadleigh looks like the best team in Manhattan. With some great experience and guard play, the Tigers are definitely contenders for the Manhattan Borough championship. The tigers have the experience and guard play that can take them farther than they were last year.

Key games to Watch

December 16th Wadleigh vs All Hallows at the City Legendz invitational

It's always interesting when a PSAL team goes up against a CHSAA Team in non-conference play. A lot of college coaches and scouts will be at this event so this is one game where the Tigers have to show out.
